About KVK
Activities of KVK
- On-farm trials to identify the location specific technologies in various farming systems.
- Front line demonstrations (FLD's) to establish production potentials on the farmers' fields
- Training of farmers and farm women to update their knowledge and skills in modern agricultural technologies and training of extension personnel to orient them in the frontier areas of technology development
- Work as resource and knowledge centre of agricultural technology for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district.
- Create awareness about frontier technologies through large number of extension activities like farmers' fair, field day, strategic campaign, ex-trainees meet etc.
- The seed and planting materials produced by the KVKs are also made available to the farmer

Infrastructure
1. Administrative Building
Krishi Vigyan Kendra has very well maintained administrative building having seminar hall, library, farmers' corner, e-linkage lab, soil testing lab.
2. Library
Krishi Vigyan Kendra has good collection of books in all fields of agriculture, ICAR publications, agriculture based quaterly, monthly magzines, CDs, DVDs, etc.
3. Seminar Hall
A well furnished training hall is constructed for conduction of on campus trainings for farmers/farm women, in service personnel and rural youth, organizing kisan gosthi and interface as well as conducting the SAC meetings. In addition to own activities hall is also provided to other institutional organizations for other activities like seminars, workshops, sangosthies.
4. Farmers' Hostel
Krishi Vigyan Kendra has a farmer's hostel that can accommodate more than 100 farmers at a time. The hostel rooms are well furnished.
5. Vehicle
KVK has well maintained Bolero Jeep and Pulsar Motor Cycle.
6. Technology Park
Technology Park of KVK consists of scion bank of fruits and plants, crop cafetaria of crops, fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants; Technology Desk, Visitors Gallery, Technology Exhibition, Azolla Unit, Zero energy cool chamber unit, Poly house and Net house, etc.
7. Vermicompost Unit
A vermicompost unit is established in KVK Jabalpur.
8. Soil Testing lab (Mini kit)
Soil testing (Mini Kit) lab is established in KVK Jabalpur.
9. E-Linkage Lab
KVK E- Linkage Lab is equipped with a Server, desktop PCs, LAN, scanner, printer, V-SAT and computer furniture to act as information hub for storing and disseminating information on agriculture and also providing online and offline guidance to the farmers.
